MOUNTAIN BREAKS
Stay in our lovely traditional Alpine Chalet to relax and enjoy the stunning Alpine scenery and great weather. As well as offering amazing mountain biking terrain the Les Arc's area has countless other ways to enjoy the mountains from paragliding to rafting and hiking to quad biking.
Hiking
Located at the crossroads of the Vanoise National Park, the Beaufortain
and the Haute Tarentaise mountain chains Peisey Vallandry is the
ideal location for a hiking holiday. You can use the ski lifts and
follow the graded sign posted hiking routes or venture further afield
and stay overnight in a variety of high altitude refuges. Guiding
can be arranged through the local tourist office to help you explore
the mountain and its numerous hiking routes for all levels and on
different themes.
Rafting
Shooting the rapids in a small inflatable is a fantastic and exhilarating
way to explore the Alps. We can arrange rafting on a variety of
rivers for everyone from beginner to experienced paddlers on a half-day
or weekly course.
Canyoning
Follow a river from near its source all the way to the valley bottom
using abseiling and diving techniques. This fun and invigorating
activity will enable you to explore the valley from another perspective.
Paragliding
Take an exhilarating flight over the resort in one of the best air
spaces in France. Late in the afternoon paragliders use the rising
heat to soar silently over the mountains. Single trips or week long
learn to fly courses are available.
Horse Riding
Expore the Vanoise National Park on horseback. Weekly or daily programs
are available.
Golf
Experience a unique golfing experience on the exciting 18 hole course
in Arc1800.
Tennis
There are several tennis courts in the village all with stunning
backdrops. Just don't lose the ball over the edge.
Fishing
There are several mountain rivers and lakes all teeming with fish.
You will need a car to access them.
Annecy, Bourg St. Maurice and Moutiers
The local area has lovely traditional mountain towns with twisting
back streets, cafes, bars and restaraunts. An hour down the road
is the medieval town of Annecy and it's beautifull lake of the same
name. This is a lovely place to spend a day. Hire a boat go wake
boarding, choise from 100 flavours of ice cream or just watch the
world go by in one of the many cafes on the lake front.
Skiing
Summer skiing and snowboarding is available on the Tignes Glacier
6am – 1pm.
Silver Mines
The local area has a rich history of silver mining which can be
visited in Peisey Vallandry.
Swimming
