GUIDED RIDES
Your guide will make or break your holiday. We use fully qualified Local French guides who not only know the mountain and trails like the back of their hands but are qualified instructors who can offer video analysis and coaching.
Rides leave at 9.30ish four days a week and take in a variety of lift accessed terrain including loose fire roads, technical singletrack and possibly some very technical singletrack. Each week we will tailor the riding for the group to ensure everybody enjoys the trails on offer. This may mean splitting the group. During the guided rides our instructors will offer tips, advice and video analysis. This instruction can be as formal or informal, as you like. It is possible to book private lessons. Whatever your level and style of riding you will return to the UK a better, faster rider. Please note that these rides are not for beginners. We recommend you have singletrack experience riding in places like Coed-y-Brenin or Afan Argoed.

Alex showing off his skills
Alex Bastien from ‘Fast Riding People’ runs our guiding program. Alex has lived and worked in The Three Valley’s all his life. He is well known and respected in the local area and will ensure you get the best service all over the resort from restaurant owners to lift operators. He is a ski and snowboard instructor in winter and a mountain bike guide and coach in summer. He has worked with the French national team as a downhill coach and is coach to several national level French riders.
As an experienced mountain biker Alex and his team of guides will take you to all the best premium quality single track. Including the normally local only secret trails. Whilst there he can offer you video analysis and detailed coaching to help improve your riding or clean that tricky section. He can also arrange for specific downhill coaching sessions with ex Rocky Mountain pro and world cup podium finisher Willy Ballaud (please call us for details).
He is a fully accredited and licensed mountain bike guide. This means he is fully trained in all areas of mountain craft including leadership, first aid and search and rescue. All our guides carry a first aid kit, radio, mobile phone and space blanket to ensure your safety in the mountains.
