3VTT EVENT WEEK, 1st - 10th July 2006

A nine night two-center holiday. The trip includes riding in the 3VTT event. On Saturday it's a 20km downhill suitable for XC or DH riders. On Sunday ride the 70km cross-country event. But that is just the beginning. The rest of your time will be spent freeriding in the best terrain the Alps has to offer.

The first 5 days of your time in the Alps will be spent at our main chalet in Les Arc's being professionally guided around some of the best trails anywhere in the world. The chalet is right next to the lift and has it's own bar. There is a huge volume of mainly DH singletrack with some of the highlights being Black 8, Double Header and J Line. We are also starting construction of a new Freeride trail to be built right next to the main lift and our chalet. It is a work in progress that should be finished for the 2006 season.

Friday the 7th of July we will transfer you and your bags approximately 45-minutes to Meribel. Friday is practice day for the downhill, you should be able to get 2 or 3 runs of the 20km DH course. Then stay for three nights in our chalet Chardon. Over the weekend you and the other guests would take part in the 3VTT Event.

Saturday is a 20km DH timed event. The course follows a variety of trails starting on high fire roads and finishing on superb twisty single track. The best bike for this event is something like a Specialized Enduro or a downhill bike. Your entry includes free food at the start and finish and a lift pass for the whole day. You will normally get time for one practice run in the morning.

Chilling out on the slopes before taking on yet more singletrack

Sunday is a 70km lift assisted tour of the whole of the 3 Vallees area. The route takes in the whole of the 3 Vallees and although it does feature climbs there is much more descending. See the brochure for the profile. The beauty of the course is that you can start or finish in any of the resort centers and can ride as much or as little as you like. Lunch and snacks are provided in all the resort centers. This is normally a BBQ and as much tea, cakes and fruit as you can eat.

Monday return home.
